Todd make a outstanding appetizer called DIRTY Mushroom Caps. When you take this appetizer to a party. People will be going nuts on how good it is. This recipe is great if you are on a low carb diet. This recipe is not very hard and is great to freeze for future use. You are going to love this appetizer. We hope you enjoy. During the video, Todd did cut the ingredients size down to do this video.
24 ounces of Mushroom caps (approx. 48)
1 pound ground Hot pork sausage
4 stalks of Green Onions (Chopped)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon of Original Todd’s DIRT
8 oz of cream cheese (softened)
4 oz of pepper Jack Cheese (shredded)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray cooking pan with cooking spray. Sauté sausage, garlic, green onions and Original Todd’s DIRT in a skillet over medium heat until meat is cooked. Drain grease and let cool. Wash the mushrooms really well. Remove stems from the mushrooms and put in a bowl. Save a 1/2 cup of the stems. Place the mushrooms on the pan facing up. Place the stems in a food processor for easy chopping. If you don’t have one, minced the stems to as small a possible. Pour the stems from the processor to the bowl with the sausage, and mix in the cream cheese and Pepper Jack cheese. Place a heaping spoonful of the mixture in each of the mushroom caps. Sprinkle the caps with Parmesan Cheese and cook in the oven for 20 minutes.
